The Church of Saint Stephen was erected in 1930. It operates as a dependency (metochion) of the Holy Monastery of Esphigmenou on Mount Athos and serves as an active place of worship in the area. Its form reflects the traditional nature of Athonite dependencies, offering the faithful a space for prayer and spiritual devotion, while at the same time connecting the local community with the spiritual tradition of Mount Athos.
