Bobotinou Square

The square was named in honour of Yannis Bobotinos (1899–1962), commemorating his contribution to the resistance struggle during the years of the Nazi Occupation, when he was a saboteur against the occupying forces. Today, the square forms part of the network of public spaces in Heraklion, Attica, serving as a neighbourhood meeting point and a place of everyday recreation and social interaction.
