The Municipal Theatre Company of Heraklion, Attica is composed of amateur actors of all ages and has been part of the cultural life of the city for more than three decades. Throughout its long history, the Theatre Company has consistently presented at least one full theatrical production each season, focusing primarily on works from the Greek theatrical repertoire, including both classical and contemporary plays.
The driving force behind the creation and development of the Theatre Company was Vaso Papatheodorou-Belitsi, who founded the group and served for many years as its producer and director until her unexpected passing in 2018. Today, her artistic legacy continues through her students and the members of the Theatre Company, under the guidance of her husband, Lazaros Belitsis.
